About Us
The Presbyterian Relief and Development Agency (PRDA) is a faith-based, non-governmental organization founded by the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan.
We are dedicated to bringing hope and transformation through relief efforts, development programs, peacebuilding, and capacity-building initiatives across vulnerable communities in South Sudan.
At PRDA, we champion life-changing causes that uplift vulnerable communities across South Sudan. From clean water and quality education to peacebuilding, food security, and emergency relief every initiative is rooted in compassion, dignity, and sustainable impact.
Operating health facilities, training health workers, and delivering maternal, child, and nutrition services through the Presbyterian Health Science Institute.
We empower families through farming tools, training, and support to fight hunger and build self-reliant communities.
We bring clean water, build latrines, and teach healthy hygiene practices to prevent disease and protect lives.
We foster healing and unity in conflict-affected communities through dialogue, trauma recovery, and peace education.
We restore hope through education by rebuilding schools, training teachers, and providing learning materials to children in need.
PRDA organizes community-centered events that drive dialogue, healing, and action. From peace forums and training workshops to emergency response briefings and development campaigns, our events are designed to inspire collaboration and empower local voices.
Each gathering is an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge, and uplift those we serve across South Sudan.
PRDA, the Presbyterian Relief and Development Agency in South Sudan, partners with various organizations, including Mission 21, the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan (PCOSS), and the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan and Sudan (PCOSS/S). We also collaborate with international partners and local churches. Our work is further supported by organizations like the Dutch Relief Alliance and ACT Alliance, especially in addressing humanitarian crises.
PRDA’s partnerships extend to various sectors, including agriculture, health, and education. For example, we have partnered with EED, ECO, ICCO, IMC, UNICEF, and WHO in the Akobo Integrated Program focusing on agriculture and health. We also collaborated with the European Union in the Leer Primary Health Care project and with PDA and Trinity Presbytery in school construction projects. Additionally, Solidarités International works with PRDA in South Sudan.
